The End of Camelot

They‘re stacking up the chairs
They‘re dusty off the chandeliers
The barman wipes the tables clean after all those years
It is just a few more moments
If you will, before the curtain call.
They’re already rolling up the carpets and  taking pictures from the wall

Unable to deny that it is over, a bruised and battered Lancelot
In somber tone enunciates the end of Camelot

There is silence in the hallways;
Only whispers that remain
We came from different worlds yet for a while we felt the same.
I skinned myself and burned for you,
I swear it always was for real.
Ain’t it funny how some stranger can put in words exactly how you feel?

Now that all of this is over; You are still all that I have got.
I mourn the time that passes and the end of Camelot

Yes, I was searching for a home, found broken hearts along the trail
Blood Brothers ’til the end of time and bonds too strong to fail
Through the falling of the rain, through the good times and the bad
When waters rose and darkness fell; there’s better times ahead.
You always helped me see the better times ahead.

And now that everything is over; the king that time forgot.
Rides out into the sunset and vows to not look back to Camelot.

My friends, now that this is over; there’s no more stories I can tell.
So let me thank you for all the memories, I bow to you and bid farewell.
